I think I'm going to be able to do this! I just finished my second work out this morning. I'm definitely sore already from yesterday, but I can tell that if I did stick to this that I'll be really happy with the results at the end! The "diet" is going to be the challenge, though. 50% protein the first few weeks is a lot of protein!
Today mom is going in for a TEE (trans-esophageal echocardiogram). In other words they're going to stick a camera down her throat and see if she's got a hole in her heart. Needless to say I'm momma-sitting again today :) It's been such a miracle how much better she's gotten since her stroke on Friday, and I'm so proud of her for staying positive about it all.
Also, a shout out to my BFF Noah for sending me a book in the mail! Travels by Michael Crighton - so far it's really good and I feel a connection to all the medical school years he writes about.

Gotta start somewhere!
Life is about adventure, and I'm about to start quite a few! This Tuesday I'm starting the supposedly miraculous p90x - 90 days of exercise and eating right - which will put me right at graduation of grad school and two weeks prior to a move to Tampa for a new job. EEK!
Goals for the week:
1. get all the foods/exercise stuff for Day 1!
2. get through all of the work outs and eat according to the plan.
So excited to start! Here goes!
